This is an old red barn on Hwy 287, just down the road from my house; you can just make out Long's Peak in the distance.
It was a perfect day to paint outdoors today; a bug got stuck in the painting only once, and the wind wasn't as bad as I'd anticipated. Best of all, my friend Christine joined me, so I wouldn't look like the only person crazy enough to be painting in the middle of a field off the highway.
(Future note to self: wear sunscreen. High altitude sun can be intense!)
