This morning I looked out the window and saw that the field next to our neighborhood had produced another bumper crop of hay bales. I grabbed my gear and spent a couple of hours painting them. It's interesting to note that small, square bales such as these aren't so common any more, as they've been replaced by industrial-sized cylindrical bales that can weigh as much as 3000lbs (1400kg)!
Speaking of progress, there's now a sign that indicates that the field itself is up for sale, ostensibly for "commercial/residential use".
I will miss the hay bales.
