Sketch: Avery House

11 x 14 inches
3B pencil on sketchbook paper

The Avery House on Mountain Avenue is perhaps the most famous residence in Fort Collins. Built from local sandstone for the Avery family in the 1870s, this quaint Victorian home is now an obligatory destination for tourists and gradeschoolers alike.

I thought it'd be interesting to draw a lesser-known view, since the front is now a bit obscured by trees. However as evidenced by the scribbley strokes, this was done rather hurriedly as I was attacked by biting ants.
